I don't suppose anyone is selling one of these? They seem to be pretty rare in the spec I want (cannot afford a new one)

Di2
Aero cockpit
Medium

I have a nice ultimate and some Zipp 404s I could potentially trade

Keep your eye on the factory outlet. Some real bargains in there from time to time.

Not on desirable models and certainly not in a M.

Ah, okay. My 2017 Di2 Aeroad in medium from the outlet must have been one of the less desirable models.

From memory should have been £4300 but was discounted to £3100.. It did have a bad scuff on the crank arm and some small cosmetic scratches to the hoods and levers but they looked worse in the pics. Fortunately my other bike was running a mint ultegra groupset so I swapped them over but to be honest I could have lived with them given the reduction.

Appreciate budget is all subjective so apologies if my bargain comment was at all misleading. £3100 is still a considerable amount. According to Canyon it had only been listed five minutes prior to me securing so I think it’s very much right place right time.

What is your budget? I’m after similar for my other half so constantly on the look out. If I see anything listed I will give you the heads up.

Best of luck with the search.

Budget is around £3k although they go for about £2k if and when they appear on eBay. Already have decent wheels so just need the frame etc

Any particular reason you're set on the Aeroad?

Is it that you want/need an aero frame?

If not I'd really recommend the aero ultimate models.

I've already got the ultimate, although I love it I wish I'd bought the aeroad in the first place

It will be almost exactly the same, so don't waste your money smile

I've got one, and apart from the nice handlebars I probably couldn't tell you which bike was what in a blind test against my other S works tarmac.

This.

I own an Ultimate and have access to an Aeroad.

Biggest difference in feel for me was the difference on bar shape and I found the geo can be made almost identical by playing with the stem height.

For 3k I'd upgrade the Ultimate or get something completely different. The aero bars aren't massively pricy for a decent change in feel. Plus your wheels. You'd be at a point where your aero advantage would be pretty close/down to clothing.

Lovely bikes though.

Keep your eye on the Boardman Outlet

Some are snotty against the brand but I see no reason to be. Frames often get top reviews.
