Anyone registering for Pass'Portes du Soleil this year?

It’s longer than you think but not as hard as you think. Carry spare everything! I got binned out one year after my rear mech decided to split, dumping jockey wheels all over a busy trail, tried to hash out a single speed conversion, but on a patriot it wasn’t going to work, free wheeled into Switzerland, found a bike shop and laid a lot of money for a new mech and chain! Don’t carry loads of food and water as there was plenty at the pit stops.
THe main thing is remember how much of a beating your bike will get before hand, make sure it is tip top.

Good advice thanks! I assume take camelbak for water in between stops? I have heard that going tubeless and fitting larger brake rotors is a must.. I have a full face helmet, however looking at 2017 pictures, most seem to be wearing normal cycling helmets, any opinion?THe main thing is remember how much of a beating your bike will get before hand, make sure it is tip top.
