I do RPM classes but the reality is good classes are getting harder to find, I do shift work which is at odds with the class timetables, but wondered if there is such a thing as online instruction/videos and if so are there any that are recommended?

Google Sufferfest, they do a few training videos. GCN on youtube have a few videos too, they're free so might be good to try them first and see how you get on.

Also Zwift and Trainerroad are apps which plenty folk use.

Zwift.

Not cheap (depending on what kit you have) but the most engaging of all the ones I've tried (including Sufferfest and TrainerRoad).

The equipment you own will make quite a difference. I’m a big fan of The Sufferfest and have been using it for 2.5 years now. I find Zwift pretty crap but I’m sure I’ll try it for a third time at some point. It does have a good (in iOS) workout builder though.
