Had to laugh when I saw this ad in a recent copy of Cyclist magazine.

No prizes for spotting the obvious mistake.

I guess it was a LH page and whoever did the artword just decided to flip the image to suit. They've obviously never been to an actual velodrome though...

Do some track bikes have the crank on the left?
Which is what it would be if the photo had been flipped.
I've only ever seen tandems with left hand cranks.

OK then I’ve thought it was just me.
Who has seen the Carlsberg add on tv where the crank is on the left and then on the right?
And all th3 time he is turning the pedals.

Can't be flipped, the cranks are on the correct side of the bike so it must just have been ridden the wrong way around scratchchin

Yes, Team USA had Felt build them to that spec for the last Olympic games. Whether or not they are commercially available I don't know.

Good point!

Seems the image is a stock photo from Shutterstock. There are quite a few images from the same shoot - some have the rider going the correct way round and others the wrong way.

See Here

So my apologies to the artworker who obviously didn't flip the image. Blame transfers to the photographer who did the shoot and also the ad designer for knowing nothing about which way you ride a track.
