Hi guys,

Looking for some advice.

I’m looking at getting a fairly entry level Mountain bike ‘around’ the £600-700 mark.

It’s going to be used for mainly a canal path that’s fairly smooth and gravely in parts and if the notion takes me up to Aberfoyle and use the forestry roads and tracks, these are mainly quite gravely and stoney.

I may also in the future decide to take my huskie with me via a side bar.
I’m not in it for speed but more for exercise and fun.

I’m actually starting to get fed up looking at bikes lol, as soon as I see one I think is suitable and then see another....

Currently looking at these two...

Cube Analog
https://www.cube.eu/uk/2018/bikes/mountainbike/har...

Boardman MTH 8.6
https://www.boardmanbikes.com/gb_en/products/2186-...

I’m aware of the tire size difference and the pros and cons of both, but I believe for what I’m using it for, it won’t make much difference.

Can anyone give any more advice or recommendations to look at?
I am doing this through C2W scheme, so could venture up to £1000 but trying to limit it a bit to be honest.

Cheers!

Paul.

The Boardman has a much better spec.
But as you say it doesnt really matter for what you will be using it for. Just pick one you like the look of that you want to ride.
