Since the start of the summer I've been riding the 4 miles to work everyday. I absolutely love it. I'm determined to ride through the winter no matter what the weather is doing.
I've yet to have puncture and always carry a spare inner tube with me anyway.

Which tyres do you commuters swear by for all conditions?

I swear by Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres. I commute around 12 miles each way to work in London and have only had one puncture in the past 2 years.

My only problem with them is they are a bloody difficult to get on due to their stiffness.

Schwalbe kojak - except they aren’t tubeless rest. So now I use schwalbe g-one. Marathon plus is a good bet for indestructible - there’s a reason most extreme bikepackers use them.

Agreed. They are nigh on indestructible. Had one that got a 1-2cm gash from something, down to the blue layer and still it plodded on for years. Still have it on my old single speed. Now only used for local pottering.

I’ve been using 25mm Continental GP4Season on my commuter for the last few years now and am pretty happy with them.

I commute on Specialized S Works Turbo (fast summer) tyres all year round. Probably get 6 punctures a year on average which I feel is a price worth paying. Winter/training tyres make road going bikes ride like turd IMO

Its different for MTBs and cars, which actually ride/drive much better on winter tyres.

Everything this chap above says, Think i've had two punctures in two years & over two thousand miles, still going strong too.

They can be a little resistant getting them on.
