No it isn’t a “how do I get the tyre on/off” thread.
New bikes last November came with Giant SR3 tyres - Giant bike.
Cleaning and checking it over and the rear tyre has this

Removed it and inside looks like this

Fitted my spare as the other bike has the same tyres but with reflective bands so it spoils the look of the bike. Tyre has done 1,000 km approx, am I likely to have any luck asking for it to be replaced.
Still happy with the type as one on the other bike has done over 4,000 km.

Can't really tell if there's anything amiss on the inside of the tyre, but have you tried simply refitting it to see if the weird shape persists?
My current road bike developed an oddly misshapen tyre a couple of months after I picked it up. It turned out that the tyre hadn't seated properly and tube had a twist in it (possibly unconnected issues), and it took a couple of hundred Ks for the tyre to seat correctly and the "lumpy" tube to reveal itself.
Just a thought.

There is a layer of the textile not incorporated in the rubber so a manufacturing defect. I am not riding on that again.
As above my spare was another one of these.
Thinking back the reason I changed the last one was that (1) it was worn and (2) it looked a little distorted in one place. I put this down to wear as the wear indicators were no longer visible.
Having thought about it I won't be getting anymore of these and considering swopping them as the thought of finding a defect like this at 30mph worries me a little. What is a good choice for a budget 28mm road tyre, I ride for exercise and fun so wouldn't want to be spending much more than 25-30 per tyre and Strava segment times don't really matter.
The rims on both bikes are tubeless ready but not really looking to go that way.

I would look at Schwalbe's as a good all round choice: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/tyres-large/schwalbe-l...As above my spare was another one of these.

Or Vittoria: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/tyres-large/vittoria-z...
Checking the bike 10 days ago and the front tyre was wavy, much worse than the last one. Didn't get a photo before I took it off but inside it looks like the other with weave separated from the rubber but over much more of the circumference. It was the other one that came on the bike when new.
It is now sitting on a pair of Vittoria's which feel OK so will replace the Giant's on the other bike as well.
No more GIant tyres for me.
