With Coedy going through is financial issues at the moment and the visitor center and cafe closed has anyone been recently to know if any other options have popped up - burger van or food stall in the car park or just off the road? If not any recommendations for a near by cafe (realise it will be a drive away more than a pedal away)?

If you're coming from the south, so going through Dolgellau, then TH Robert's coffee shop / tea rooms / cafe does epic cake. It's in the old ironmongers shop opposite the Royal Ship hotel / pub.

Cheers, thought this might be the case of only current options. I’m staying for a week just out outside Barmouth.

Driving past Dolgellau last night, I did remember Roberts don't open on a Sunday.

Another option you'd be passing as it's between CyB & Barmouth is Mawddach Pizza. Only open Thursday to Saturday from 4pm but pizza is very good (had one last night!). Take out or eat in but can be busy so worth booking.

Unfortunately NRW who run the site won’t let a burger van operate even tho I know at least one has asked if they can.

In Trawsfynydd (3 or 4 miles north) there is burger van at the fuel station. You can slo buy food at the shop in Trawsfynydd as well.

Its actually quite a nice (and not a long!) pedal into CyB from Dolgellau so could park in the big car park there and loads of options for pre/post ride food. Pick up the single track road at the old bridge which then runs parallel to the A470 on the other side of the river.
