Thinking of getting a Wattbike, anything I should know? Should I just get the cheapest second-hand one I can find, or is it worth going new? Any features to look for or avoid, or any particular models that I should aim for?

Thanks in advance!

I’ve got an Atom and can’t really fault it in terms of its very quiet compared to a bike on a turbo, takes up half the space and just does what its supposed to with no faff. They do need servicing every 2-3 years which is £200 so if you do go second hand i’d ask if thats been done recently

I have the Proton, had it 18 months and six thousand miles on it and it has been great. Same internals as the Atom I believe but in an overall smaller footprint than the Atom.

Both are great options and far better than a turbo

Yes I'm hoping it will be a bit more interesting than the turbo!
