What full fat ebike?
Discussion
I am struggling to find a new ebike as the tech is moving quickly. Current bike has a Bosch cx line gen 4 85nm with a 750 battery. It’s a cube stereo 140 sl but time for replacement.
I was going the Canyon direction but then saw the new Giant Stance e+1 for £3999 and thought it looked good.

I rode it this morning and it seemed good value until I visited Trek on the way home and can get one of these rail 9.7 carbon for 5k (top budget) also qualifies for Bosch 2.0 so upto 150nm now.
https://www.trekbikes.com/gb/en_GB/bikes/mountain-... which will come in Slate with the new Kiox 400c as a head unit. The marble paint job is lovely.
Now I hit the internet and I also have been bombarded with AM Flow adverts and dismissed them as never heard of them but for £3999 this PR carbon seems a bargain. I am concerned its too much power though, I dont want to be snapping chains etc and eating cassettes.

I also looked at the Santa Cruz Vala but I do quite long rides (50 miles most weekends) and I think they only have a 600w battery and I dont want an extender bolted to it so I need an internal 800 really.
Specialised turbo Levo?
I think I have moved away from the giant now and it s worth spending 1-1.5k more.
Is there any others I have missed or should I choosing from this lot?

I mentioned on the Amflow thread, I went for a Rail 8, the aluminium one.
It’s 120nm.
The removable battery suits me, much easier to charge.
It’s heavy to move around when not riding, put on the work stand etc.
But you already have a full fat so you know that.
I use mine a lot and like rooty tech.
The original Brevard tyres seem like two rear tyres, I swapped them for something more useful in the wet and current dust.
Lots of stuff came loose on mine on the first ride, including the chainring nut. It could be the riding I do or poor pdi. I bent the original e13 cranks with a pedal strike on a tree stump, they are known to be on the soft side.
The bike handles similar to my Aeris 9, which surprised me.
Sometimes I find it feels like the back wants to overtake the front when it gets steep. I don’t think you’d get away with something like a Rock Razor rear tyre.
