Has anyone been to Peatys bike bonanza in the past? Was it worth it? Did you get any real bargains?

I'm live just over 2 hours away but I'm thinking of making trip over to have a look, just a bit worried it might be a bit rubbish!

I visited the cycle show at Alexander palace a couple of years ago and was massively disappointed, just want to avoid this again. It took 4 hours to get there and about 45mins to see everything (about 4 times over!).

Not been before but I am planning on going this year, only 40 mins from me though so not too much time wasted if it is crap!
It looks good on the social media posts

Yeah it looks like a good day out and I'm sure I'll find something to buy, even if it's no longer a bargain once you add the cost of fuel etc.

I miss the bigger bike shows at the NEC, I remember going to Bike 98 and coming away with bargain pedals, body armour, down hill handlebars all at bargain prices!

I have had friends go loads of times before and always rave on about it, I went 2 years ago and probably wouldn’t go again in a hurry unless I was after certain things.

There are lots of bargains to be had if you aren’t too worried about wanting certain brands or models of item. There is a mix of brand new, not in box brand new and second hand part (including full bikes from demo fleets or racers training bikes). I bought a fox 36 forks which while cheap I could have got cheaper online anyway.

Expect a long Que to get in as well so for me personally I don’t think it’s worth it if you have to travel far

Those NEC shows were ace! Loads of stalls, big dirt jumps in the middle of the halls etc. Local coach company to me ran excursions from York to it - great when you were a student...
