Well I've just ordered one of these bikes BH Fitness Onyx, and I'm hoping its going to be a good addition to the home gym.
Has anyone tried one before ?

2 things I need from it:

Smooth pedaling
Fairly quiet

I tried out a cheap magnetic bike a month ago, it was soo jerky when used it (for a total of 3 mins) hehe

Not sure that exercise bikes were really what the Pedal Powered section was intended for.

BTW, I'm after some advice on where I can hire a pedallo from when I go to the seaside at the weekend hehe

Relevant in that it is pedal-powered, but that's about as far as it goes. Personally, I can't imagine any circumstance in which I would use a static bike. I'd rather be out on an actual bike instead, and if the weather gets too bad for that (call me a fair-weather cyclist, but ice, hail & snow don't do it for me) then I'll either go for a swim, or slob on the sofa!

Sorry. Not helpful, I know.

Well it arrived today and I'll be putting it together once I get home...so I'll come back and let people know what its like if anyone is interested.
The weather here is completely unpredicable and I dont want to go outside at 6am, so I WANT a static bike for my apartment, its my preference. I can sit in my pants, watch porn on my 47" HD tv...much better imo

Ok first morning of use.
Its excellent, and VERY good value (233Euros in P+P).
Very very smooth wheel action, very quiet and a huge LCD display.
Its only got 8 resitance settings but its fine for what Im doing.
45mins before breakfast, at a slow steady rate, weights later in the day, no muscle loss, just fat !

Sounds cool, i'm after one myself for the odd shift hours i work which make it hard to get the miles in consistently.

One question though, how is the cycling going whilst the porn is on?? haha!
