I have a Cateye Strada Cadence, and I'd have another one.

About £35, rear wheel speed sensor - so it works on a turbo - and cadence sensor, a pretty small head unit with no fiddly buttons - you press the unit itself to change modes - and a mount that will fit on the stem, or the bars, or the aerobars.

I use Sigma 1606L with caydence sensor. No fuss, large clear display and has proved reliable for near on 60000kms.You can set it for 2 bikes and two wheel sizes, it senses which holder its in and selects the right size.I just flick it from bike to bike smile

Not the Topeak 140 that I picked-up as part of my Cycle2Work freebie bundle at Halfords yesterday - cadence sensor wire is too short to fit anything other than a kid's bike and the wheel magnet looks like it was designed and made by Brunel.

I got a wireless one from tesco last year - 24 quid. It's got everything you'd need.

I was being a little unfair to Topeak - the short-wired sensor was the speedo, which is intended to go on the front wheel.

And it works fine with a - much smaller and lighter - Cateye wheel magnet.
