Ordered my first road bike and am expecting delivery tomorrow. Wanted something I could do some events on, so went for a Planet X full carbon bike with dura ace bits and bobs that they have on offer at the moment. Went for a fitting a few weeks ago and test rode one, but can't wait to get my hands on my own and get some miles in over the weekend.

Feel like a kid on Christmas eve!!

Will post some pics up when I get chance.

Nice! I've just got my new bike on the cyclescheme, Cube Peloton, was originally resigned to waiting until July because there were none in the country, but blagged a cancelled order at the last minute thumbup

Apart from struggling with the Look pedals (Had SPDs on my mountain bike, which are a bit more forgiving), it's great. Very light, very quick... Need to get some proper miles in now.

I'm just about to order some Planet-X carbon wheels and was looking at their road bikes. They're a lot of bike for the money

Definitely are, as are the On-One MTBs. It's just a big shame they won't supply bikes for the Cycle-2-Work scheme weeping

I've got one. They're very responsive, even if the frame is only a low modulus carbon (well, you can't expect much more for that price!). Make sure the BB cups and crank are setup correctly, and double check all the bolts prior to riding it though. You may want to swap out the seat for something else. The Schwalbe ultremo tyres roll really easily (better than mich pro race 3s anyway). The brake blocks they use in their tektro brakesets aren't the grippiest, but these are only niggles.

Any excuse is good enough for me:

I've had mine since January; absolutely love it and it flies.
