My girlfriend and I would like to take our 4 month old daughter out on our bikes (well, her bike as I've got a Giant SCR) - however, I'm not sure what type of seat to get and what age she has to be to fit into it.

Any advice from anyone?

I don't think I've seen any bike seat that will be suitable at 4 months. The bobike mini is from 9 months, the weeride kangaroo from 1 year:

You can use a trailer with a Weber seat and the extra head support. Some places day from 1 month, others from 3 months. We used it in a Croozer 737 from 3 months with no problems.

We've ended up going the bakfiets route, which make moving kids around a lot of fun. It's a lot of money, but my missus can't drive, and it's much better than relying on public transport.
