I've been totally addicted to the Olympic cycling events in the velodrome

The sprint races are so exciting - and really well structured - the team stuff is just amazing. The Madison race has just started - total mayhem - brilliant !

Might give up this F1 nonsense - and switch to pedal power

Yeah, I'm trying to keep up with the Madison at the moment too.

Haven't got a clue what's going on!

What a crazy race!

Bad luck for Mark Cavendish, waiting all that time watching his team mates clean up and not even getting a medal. Shame GB couldn't put on more of a show there - but shows that a Madison is much more about tactics and stamina rather than just our & out sprinting.

Oh well, at least 3 more medals to come....

I'm sold on this bike thing too - I'm wondering if I can get to Reading Velodrome sometime soon to ride the banking!

I haven't used my road bike in a decade, but I still recall the glorious feeling you get when you have just the right amount of tailwind, you're in top gear, racing along on a smooth road, with great views.

Its an amazing feeling, as is the feeling you get when you're already over the junction as the cars behind you set off from the lights smile

Living in Harrogate is an extra bonus. I used to cycle the Dales constantly as a racer in my youth.
I have been cycling again getting in some sort of shape for the Dunlop Race Academy final.
Riding out over the Dales and moors again reminded me just why I used to love cycling so much when I was younger and how sad I was to lose a huge chunk of my life through injury.
