best lock?

what do all the commuters on here use for securing their bike? If spending on making my bike lighter and faster, don't want to then weight it down with a big heavy chain, but want it to be secure?!

Got one of these at the moment, is ok, but is quite heavy and doesn't seem that strong.

Assuming you're commuting to the same place every day, just leave the (big,heavy) lock locked to something at work.
