Do forks need time to bed in?
Discussion
I'm going to replace my forks soon (no, really this time!) as the existing ones are starting to feel less than plush.
The question is - will brand new forks with just a couple of miles under them feel better than the outgoing set?
I'm off to Wales for a few days in a fortnight or so and I'm debating whether or not it's worth sticking the new forks on beforehand.

It depends on what forks you have and what you are changing to. If your old ones are Rockshox Indy Cs and your new ones are some Fox 36 floats then it' definately worth it.
Forks do take a while to bed in, my 2005 Z1s feel better now than they have ever done (no service as yet)
If i were you i'd change before the trip, as it will bed them in and give you a good idea of what they are like, what are you getting?
