Morzine 2009

Its that time of year again, horrible weather and dark nights. Time to start booking my trip for next year to get me through the winter

Who else is going to Morzine next year?

We were discussing this the other night. Probably the last week of July & first week of August.

Thats if we don't decide to do Whistler. But the costs vary somewhat...

Maybe, the plan is still very much to go to Whistler next year, but some of our ridng mates are stuggling to convince the Wife it's a good Idea to drop £850 on a boys holiday in Canada when in Morzie "you can do the same thing for half the price and only be an hour away!!"

I wont be heartbroken to end up in Morzine again, I still have some unfinished business with the Swiss Cup Course Grrrr.

Possibly doing the Mega this year as I missed out last year due to business.

The rest of the guys went and I ended up in Frankfurt on my tod.

Will be going first 2 weeks of July.

Whistler is on the list but The long haul flight and the cost is just far to high when Morzine is just around the corner.

I'll be looking to compete in the Mega (so Huez for a week) and then onto Morzine.

I'm competing in the Mega again, hoping to do better than last year, but it'll be last I think - its getting a little long in the tooth now

But where's the snow?? Ha ha. Saw that race on Seasons, I think I'd have to make base camp about half way down, cook up a brew, bit of a sleep and tackle the rest in the morning.

Hmm now that sounds like an idea, I recently bought a bike that could do it as well.

First year I was there 2004, I went for the last week in June and the was going to enter but my IH SGS pro tank wasnt capable of pedeling up my driveway let alone some of the XC trails in morzine lol.

I have one gripe about the race and thats the DH runs get completely destroyed, you only have to look at the condition of the pleney in 2007, the year of rain rain rain.

Planning on it after Mega, say i will race every year and it comes and goes, so prtty determined to make it happen in 2009!
