Hi Again.

Planning to go upto cannock chase for the first time in a fortnight to take on the DH section.. see what the fuss is all about smile

question, what would the best tyre type be for cycling up there?

currently i have some deep mud plugging tyres that have been perfect for the conditions in the past few mths in the local parks.

Not an expert, but I use Highrollers on both my DH and AM bikes and they're very good. I swtich to a Supertacy front in muddy conditions. If it's properly sloppy Swampthings are very good. I used a Wetscreem in Morzine out this year in the very worst, foot deep mud and the level of grip was unnatural, don't work anywhere else though, ha ha.

I hate doing these things, but +3 for High Rollers.

Single Ply on my XC bike, in 2.35 guise, and Dual Ply in 2.5 on the rear of my DH and 4X bikes (I use Minion up front in 2.7).

Excellently reliable tyres.

High Rollers here too, although they weren't too great at Swinley on Thursday night in the gloopy mud. Will put the trailraker 1.95s on tomorrow and see if they fair any better.

To be honest, anything sticky will be ok, and run them fairly soft.
- I spent a year riding cannock while working for JCB and was on Kenda Nevegals. Although many have since recomended a Kenda BlueGroove upfront, keeping the Nev on the rear which makes sence.
