Tour De France 2009

Not seen it discussed here but the route has been announced;

Starting in Monaco moving along the coast towards Spain fly to mid and then through to the Alps where it goes north to south almost back to where it starts before another transfer to the finish in Paris.

All seems a bit disjointed to me and totally avoids Northern France.

BUT (and here's the best bit) it has a category climb within about a mile of home for me!!!!!

SO what does everyone else think of the route?
