Anyone considering buying a new light might want to keep an eye on the light test thread on YACF. They tested 17 front lights, took photos and measurements. No one has given an impression of performance yet.

Ye gods, how bright are those Lupines? I thought my Exposure was pretty nifty but that's just something else.

There are many cheap ways of getting lots of lumens from the torches and holders on places like deal extreme. I saw a rig on a forum the other day where a guy had cut down two of the 3 watt led torches from tesco and made a decent off road twin light setup.
