I think they need to get the 'most haunted' crew out there on some silver steeds. Me and a mate went there about 3 months ago and at the bottom of one of the singletrack descents, I had a go at him for nearly having me off the bike halfway down when he ran into my back tyre at full tilt. I could hear and 'sense' (anyone who regularly rides singletrack with mates will know what I mean, you know when they are right there) him following me, but he said that not only did he not start the section until about 15 seconds after me, he didn't see me at all and no-one passed him that could have got on my tail. He also said someone had been right behind him too, but we waited at the bottom for a couple of minutes grabbing something to eat and no-one appeared. Last night I read there was a massacre there of some surrendering soldiers in the civil war and it is supposed to be haunted. Personally, I reckon it must be something to do with the ground and acoustics there that made us think someone was there, and I probably tweaked off a root or something to give the feeling I'd been run into (though doesn't explain why the bike slowed up).
