My Scale 10 came with UST wheels (DT Swiss hubs with Mavic XM-819 UST Disc rims).
I simply cannot get on with the tubeless system and want to convert back to regular tubes and tyres.
How would I do this - is it simply a case of taking the UST valve out or is there more to it?

Yup it's as easy as that. I'm running tubes with my 819's at the moment.

You can sometimes find the UST tyre doesn't seat perfectly into the rim bead with a tube in it. This is nothing to worry about, the tyre will just look very slightly wobbly when you spin the wheel, but it will never come off or anything.

What didn't you like about tubeless?

well this is a problem if your after decent performance!

Just like you would with tubeless, inflate to 60psi to get the bead to seat properly, if thats still not worked use a little soapy water on the bead.

Im flummoxed by you guys

Whats wrong with tubeless?

I agree its a faff changing wheels but theres a definite knack and I put my Trailrakers on last week in approx 20mins total - including using a track pump!

Although I admit the first time I tried to seat a UST tyre hell almost froze over.....

UST Tires are known to burp off at low pressures.

My ZTR rims do no such thing. And I don't have to buy expensive UST tyres either... much better.
