Not enough detail in this article to know what actually happened but just a reminder to keep safe and visible when cycling on the roads this winter.
Had I left work at 17:30 yesterday, I would probably have witnessed this accident first hand. As it happened, I arrived at the Portway just as the police were closing the road and had to divert up Bridge Valley Road. The mild irritation I experienced at the thought of the unwelcome climb up the side of the Avon Gorge quickly evaporated with the thought that they don't close a major artery in/out of Bristol at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately a life was lost, probably for no good reason.
