Urgent Bike Hire Q

Sorry the only advice I can offer is bike shops rarely open before 10. Lazy so and sos.
And even then we're usually hungover to buggery.I've never woken up in my clothes in the shop kitchen floor with sugar stuck to my face at 9:30am and realised people were at the door.
Nope, never.
Sorry for not replying before as not been on here for a while
Anyway they offer Marin Northside Trails and Diamondback Response Sports for 25 quid a day, including helmet and mitts if needed.
To be honest I would try a couple of the shops in Betws, sorry can't recall the names but one of them was offering brand new Trek 6000s for 20 quid a day for example. Feel bad not recommending Beic Betws as the guy manning the shop was helpful and very trusting - "just leave the bikes and kit round the back if i'm not around when you come back" but the bikes were really badly set up.
So bad that one of the group had to ride back only a mile or so out of Betws and didn't get to ride any further. To be fair though, they refunded the cost of the hire, and also refunded half of the hire for my girlfriend's bike after we had to spend ages on the way round adjusting both derailleurs.
On the plus side, it convinced her that me spending over £1500 on a new toy isn't that extravagant
My advice would be not to book in advance as there are a few places on the main road through the town offering a decent hire rate that I didn't see on the tinterweb beforehand, although I don't know how good this advice would be on a busy bank holiday!
Also, the day we were in Betws, some poor bloke got stabbed by a couple of young kids in hoodies for his bike in the centre of town
Hope he made a full recovery.
