Anyone still ride BMX?
Discussion
Skate parks are seeing less and less BMX and more and more inliners, woodpushers and hardtails
Sponsorship and events have all dried up too.
Me and two mates rent out UKSkate that used to be Bones in Stockport from time to time, its only £100 for 4 hours and you get the place to yourself so you get good value for money.
I ride a WeThePeople 4Seasons frame and the rest is all custom, I did buy a Hoffman Condour for vert but dont have the bottle for it really. Going to build a flatland bike for summer though, never tried it so going to give it a go as it looks mental.
I ride mostly indoors but have ridden pretty much every hot spot in Manchester over the years, I used to ride all over the Gmex, Urbis, trainstations and anywhere with rails, good jumps and wallrides - out of busy hours h'obviously.
Going to hit Rampworx at Liverpool soon and maybe go ride all the new buildings down the front and Liverpool one.
How about you? what you riding? where your riding and what styles?
This is my mate Jay who has just got sponsorship to ride hardtail, he will be at a comp at the MEN soon.

Had my first go round a proper BMX track today, it was a riot!!! Quite hard work and a good work out, I feel like ive been beaten up.
I just used my short travel hardcore hardtail, I noticed very few other people there actually had BMX's? In fact one chap told me the track was designed for bigger wheels? Most of them had little hardtails with skinny wheels possibly 20 inch?

Rode as a kid from about '82-'85, then again from '94 on an off. I have a Wethepeople Thrillseeker in the garage that I use when playing with my son on his Likeabike. When he gets into BMX, I suspect I'll be pulling sketchy 360s again.
Best BMX memories are buying a bike of Mike Canning and him telling the tale of the Backyard video handlebar insertion; going to backyard jam and chatting to Matt Hoffman during the vert contest; and, seeing Denis McCoy chestplant from godknows how high but walk away at bike 95(?).

Yeap, ride a 20" Kink and a 24" SE, mainly ride outdoor park/street, dirt and BMX tracks, only ride park as it's the closest but we've been busy building some nice trails over the winter and they should be good as soon as the get dry and hard. And my old Local BMX track has just had a revamp and is looking good
