In snow and ice - lycra shorts, trousers on top.
Typical slightly chillyish winter/spring weather - 3/4 tights under baggies
Slightly warmer - lycra shorts under baggies.
Road bike - middle of summer - not planning on stopping where people might see me - lycra only
3/4's are great, only recently got a pair. Not as sweat as tights but keep my knees warm, which im finding to have a great effect on endurance and recovery. Been a big thread on STW recently about looking after your knees - I can see why now. They work hard when cycling, and mine were running very cold and I was clearly not doing them much help.

The lycra shorts are the best since they don't restrict any movement of your legs, but I tend to wear them on routes where I know none of my freinds will see me

Reminds me though, I need another pair of Endura XC shorts, another £50 ish

This may be a silly question, but does anyone know where I can buy a pair of 'baggy bib' shorts? Presently I wear my bib tights (stop at the knee), and a pair of baggy shorts over the top, but the shorts don't cling to the lycra. I'd prefer something 'integrated' if you know what I mean.
