Hope BB with Truvativ Crank

I'm fecked off to be it mildly.

I've just spent the whole week waiting for my new Hope BB to turn up to replace my knackered stock Truvativ GXP BB only to find out it's not compatible and I need to buy some special shims to make it fit.

Is this really true? I've only read mixed things online and the only reason I noticed was due to a video on the Hope website detailing how to fit the Truvativ BB adapters for the Hope BB.
