Just brought myself a new frame, and I have a friend who wants to buy my old frame, but I don't know how much it's worth. The frame is a 2006 Orange 5 with a Manitou Swinger shock in good nick, was thinking of around the £450-£500 mark, but don't want to overcharge my mate, or shoot myself in the foot! Does this sound about right?

I'd have said that's quite an ambitious price. 250-300 seems more realistic.

Well the ratio I always use for second hand MTB stuff is 50% depreciation in year one, 10% per year after. Your's is 3 years old and a new frame is £1200.00

So £600 year 1, £540 year 2, £486 year three, so yeah if it were me, I consider that about on the money.

God only knows where I got that from though , but it seems to ring true for popular/quality kit in good nick. biglaugh
