Child trailers
Discussion
Thinking about getting one of these as it means I can take the eldest (2yr old) with me on bike rides.
Our youngest is 6 months old, and I thought the youngest you can start putting them in the trailer was 10 months, however a guy in work reckons you can get "slings" that fit some models and allow you to carry a baby?
Now before you all get too excited, it would be used purely on flat, smooth coastal paths / parks and nowhere near roads or XC stuff!!
Just wondered if anyone has any experience transporting infants in such a thing?

We also used to use the Halfords Trailbuggy and have had both of our kids in it from 1/2 montsh old, we use the standard car seat and strap that in. Once old enough we put them into the seats on the back of our biks approx 12 months old, the helmet issue can be a problem but after a coupel of rides they have both been OK....but I do wear one as well which encourages them
Edited to add: I have taken my 2 1/2 year old off road for the last 10 months or so, not the black runs but the easy runs and he loves it

ditto.
although i also tow it behind my road bike, there are some serious hill round here and its a reall workout with both kids in it.
and it totally murders my brakes on my poor roadie.
the one time i took it offroad with my mtb though, i got punctures in both tyres :|
great for tiding to the park with thier bikes tied to its roof and then riding round the park alongside em.
the boot really is generous for all the assorted crap you need

We had ours in a Croozer 737 plus a Weber baby seat with the newborn insert from 6 weeks. The weber seat and newborn insert should work well with any trailer, but the Croozer is pretty nice - not as comfy or convenient as the Chariots, but I'd wager more resilient in a crash. They are utterly overbuilt.
