Large hands + normal grips = painful ride?

I've got massive hands (size 13 in glove sizes) and find that with my 'odi' grips, the side of my hands ends up over the end cap used to secure the grip, resulting in blistering.

Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?

Also, does anyone still use bar ends for climbing?!

Very comfy and no blistering, the mini bar ends should stop your hands from going over the ends.

I have ergons on mine too - great as the bar ends keep you in check

In the process of swapping out the handlebar for a bullhorn. I had a nexus trigger shift so the right one has been cut down a little, but for postage they're yours if you want to give some a go to get an idea for minimal cost?

The obvious solution is to move your shifters and brakes further inboard. Your hands shouldn't really be contacting the end-cap on a regular basis.

Of course if your hand is so large that it fully spans the grip and you're getting rubbing at both ends (insert fnarr fnarr jokes) then you've got a different problem. Better full-finger gloves might be the solution for this one.

Your hands will only be overlapping the outside edge of the grip because you're needing to do so to reach the controls. Move the controls = job done.

Due to the bend on the riser bars, the shifters and brakes can't be moved any further inwards towards the stem. I think it's time for new bars...

Must be fairly narrow risers if the controls are butted up next to the grips with no further adjustment possible. From memory, I'd say there's about an inch of free space between my grips and controls, with further room towards the stem available. That's on an uncut EA50, which I thought was too wide when I first fitted it but very quickly got used to it.
