If mated to hub gears ( can it be mated to hub gears? ), would they remain as silent as when they're single speed?

is it possible to get a silent freewheel mech?

Personally, I think they're a brilliant idea. The tech works, the problem is the hub gears are still expensive - Rofly hubs are circa £700.

There are a few shaft drive bikes about as well.
