Bit of an odd one.

Rear tyre, 60psi, i'll ride it in the morning, ride it home, get up in the morning, flat as a pancake.

Pump it up, ride it in the morning, ride it home, get up n the morning, still okay, however the next day it'll be flat again, completely random deflation

Any thoughts?

what pressure is it when you come to ride it home?

60psi when you set out in the morning but 40/50psi won't look/feel much different yet is a 1/3rd less after 8 hours (assumed) so after a further 16hours would be at 20psi or as flat as a pancake...

so slow puncture or leaking valve methinks.

Is it a regular 2 day cycle?

If so it sounds to me like you have a loose patch on the tube.

60 psi is enough to keep it pretty well sealed against the tyre and only leak a bit.

As said above 60 to 50 psi would not be noticeable but may be enough to allow faster leakage. Hence the two day cycle.

If not then could be the same deal with the valve.

If not then someone likes you one day and hates you the next...

That's the odd thing, you'd expect it to deflate at the same rate, it'll remain at 60psi one night, then completely flat another maybe 2 days later.

I assume it must be something to do with the valve, but can't tell.

Nothing regular about it at all, might be down one day, pump it up, okay for two days, pump it up, okay for one day, it really is totally random.

They're tubeless, so I assume it's the valve, oh well, more expense.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. Randomly deflating when I was in a bleeding hurry!

I bought a new tube because I was using a tube for a thinner tyre an I decided to turn the tyre inside out and check it.

There was a thorn and a piece of glass poking through. I guess the thorn pierced it and sealed it temporarily because I only found one puncture.

I've had that.

The best explanation I can come up with is that there's a really small leak somewhere and it's just luck if you happen to park the bike up in a position that exaggerates it.

Only real solution is a new tube (oh, and thoroughly check the tyre for glass, thorns etc that might be stuck in there and causing a small leak)
