Looks like the Aluminium framed (non-Madone) bikes are available now, but can't find any carbon ones.

Anyone got any ideas?

Sorry if this is a repost, I did quickly check. Honest guv'nor.

have you seen the spec and the rrps? it might be worth looking at 09 sale bikes as they may represent better value?

Check out the Project One sections on the Trek web site....you can customize your spec, frame colour, wheel colour , spec , bar tape, cables ...everything...its all for free too. There are some paint schemes that will set you back mega bucks including Lances Livestrong. Its the most amazing thing I have ever seen in the bike trade.
Its available on all 5 or 6 series Madones.
4 Series Madones will be available from now depending on which one you want. I have already seen a 4.5 2010 model

Have my dream 6.5 Madone printout sitting here on my desk, awaiting my &7523.97

Fantastic site though, I had endless fun but settled on this, with another set of aero wheels and perhaps a rethink on the stem for one of those integrated handlebar/stem carbon fibre jobbies.

I was playing with that on Sat, got a lovely purple beast which got specced up to $12,000, so won't be getting it anytime soon.

I'm waiting for the 2010 models, as I'll need a 64 sized frame, as I'm a monster!

the problem with the trek bike builder is you are obliged to spec bontrager wheels and not some porn from zipp or hed?

anyway, as much as i appreciate that you may want the latest model, there are some bargains to be had at the moment and as mentioned, 2010 bikes wont be as well specced for the money in comparison to 09 let alone 08 bikes....

My wife has just taken delivery of aa brand new 2010 Madone 5.2 WSD (the womens version), seemingly one of the first in the country. Very nice bike. Has 2 improvements over my 2009 Madone 5.2:
1) internally cables in the handlebars, looks nice and tiday.
2) brand new 2010 Ultegra groupset. The crankset looks just like a Dura Ace now, but I assume slightly heavier.

Conclusion: if you have the cash......a 2010 5 serioes Madone is a very nice thing. I am jealous of the wofe's groupset and that aint fair.

Therefore you need a better bike to compensate!
