Hey all,

I was about to pop off to Evans next to where I work to have a look for some cycling gloves as my hands were very cold this morning. (I've only just commuting by bike)

I was just wondering if anyone had any particular gloves they'd recommend of if 'they're all as good as each other'

I can wholeheartedly recommend Sealskins. The palm piece doesn't seem that robust but they have certainly kept my hands perfectly warm. They seem to be exceptionally wind proof yes

Haven't tested them in the wet, but that's what cars are for biggrin

I have had a few pairs but the current Sealskins are great. They work well in the rain too.

I got some Pearl Izumi ones, not waterproof but repel a good shower and comfortable too. Mine were from Evans in a recent sale. They've been through the wash a good few times and stayed in one piece, which is more than can be said for other paids of gloves I've tried to wash. I'd certainly recommend them.

I've got some Endura Strikes which are wind/waterproof without being too bulky. Probably all you need for 99% of days. They replaced some Specialized Deflect which were great too, not properly waterproof but windproof and would hold off a shower fine.

Don't go too mad though - I was bought some Specialized Radiant gloves and they're way too hot unless the air is well below freezing.

I have a pair of Fox Sidewinders, and they work perfectly for me during the winter months

It came between the Seal Skinz and the Pearl Izumis, Went for the Seal Skinz on the recommendation of the guy in Evans. They were a little warm on the way home this evening, but it wasn't particularly cold this evening, I look forward to their comfort mid-winter.

If its proper cold, you can't beat ski gloves. I've had a pair for fifteen years, they work beautifully.

The measure of a glove is not the ability to keep your hands warm but how much snot will it absorb?

Seconded. Excellent snot / sweat wiping properties too.
