I got some tacx antares parabolic ones and after two attempts left me flat on my back in a heap I quickly brought the front brace. I'll have to get much better balance before I transfer off them.

Those two are good for warming up but as they have little or no drag they aren't ideal for a training effect.
Key thing is to make sure the front wheel axle is behind the centre line of the front roller, otherwise its like riding on ice.stick with it and you become adept at riding them.
