First time at Cwmcarn and......
Discussion
it was blooming wet and muddy....

As above 6 of us braved the elements at Cwmcarn yesterday using the superb "Cwmdown" uplift service. First time for most of us and what a blast! Very wet and muddy but lots of grip from new Maxxis Minnions and everyone went home in one piece! Loved the place with it's mix of technical stuff and fast fast fast blast down the bottom section after the road drop!!
Would recommend it to anyone thinking of going for the first time, relatively easy to ride slow, apart from the road drop!! but a huge challenge at speed.

Great isn't it!
It's only a 45 min drive for me from Cardiff, but after riding it about once a month for 3 years I'm still not bored of it.
Next time try the final section if the XC course (stop at the road drop) turn left about 100m's it's mental fun on a DH bike, top to bottom without braking, floating miles over the peaks, just give the XC whippets respectable amount of room
