Does anyone have opinions on Fellia bikes?

They are obviously at the cheap end of the range but I want to get myself and my wife started with something to use on the South Downs. I can get these bikes wholesale so I figure its a good place for us to start.

Sorry, but no. Even without riding one, I'm fairly confident when I say they will be awful enough to deter you and/or your wife from ever getting on a bike again.

Muddy Fox are OK (as in adequate but not the best for the money) but the others are utter rubbish - the kind of leaden, springy, un-damped scrap usually sold by supermarkets and budget retailers under various brand names.

Better to buy something from a recognised manufacturer secondhand or spend more (£250-300) and get a budget bike made by a decent brand from a proper bike shop.

I wouldn't waste the money, it will fall apart under any sort of terrain.

I know they are cheap because the margins are quite "healthy" biggrin

Thanks for the feedback. Might look at a muddyfox but will try one before I spend my own money. Otherwise will have to visits Evans Cycles or similar.

Buy second hand. I've just put a decent £300 (new so would hope to get around hlf that now) Giant mountain bike, front suspension on ebay. You'll find a good bargain on there. If you want to know more about my Giant let me know.
