its a good, solid road bike, nothing fancy but it will be more than capable for road racing, commuting, even some sportives. sure its not the lightest out there but its also not the most expensive. sora is a dependable groupset, all gear stuff these days is reliable if well maintained. giant in ouse finishing kit is usually pretty good too.
alternatively, what else do they stock?

I have a Giant Defy and I'm pleased with it as my first roadie.
I'm sure in time I will want something better, but right now I love it. I've changed the wheels and seat and can't see me changing it for a few years yet (at least not until my riding demands it, at the moment the bike is better than the rider!)
