Thule 4 bike 9705 tow bar mounted cycle rack.........

Looking at getting one of these, just wondered if anyone had one & what they thought of them, especially the 4 bike carrying potential. I wonder how safe the rack feels when fully loaded with 4 adult bikes?

I'm wondering whether it would fit the back of my 2002 Shogun, bearing in mind the rear dorr mounted spare, and the fact that I tend to run a trailer for bike holidays.

One thing to consider on these is the rated nose-weight of your car.

Basically - the weight you can put on your towbar. On a smaller car, or with a shorter wheelbase, then 4 bikes hanging 3 feet out back is going to have a pretty adverse affect on your ride height at the back.

Big estate cars often have load levellign which is useful, and any 4x4 or something will be fine, just one to watch on a smaller/medium size car.
