Ladies hybrid, £300?

What bike would PH recommend for the gf? I'm not a big fan of ebay but I would buy second hand if I could see it first. She's looking for a hybrid and has a budget of £300.

It wants to be nice and light and easy to pedal so she can keep up with me

Specialized Vita or Sirrus - the lightest hybrid near £300 (if you can find one on offer or 2nd hand).

If it is one of the cheaper models with the steel fork it is worth upgrading with some carbon cyclocross forks from the likes of Ribble Cycles as the standard fork weighs a ton!
