I'll be travelling down from the midlands for this, and was wondering who else on the team is doing the same, and where, if anywhere, they're staying.

I'm keen to hook up for the warm up ride to the start from Haymarket towers if that's still on.

Any recommendations of places to stay much appreciated.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy,

Me and the Mrs are stayting in the Premier Inn - London Wimbledon South.
£69 for the night. I believe this is pretty much 'en-route' for the PH peloton, as I'm hoping to be gathered up by them in the morning!

I'm wondering about this one too. I'm in Billericay and am not entirely confident the train will get me and my bike to somewhere near the start for 6am... if I can take the bike on the train at all - and going down to Brighton seems somewhat counter productive to then get a bus back up (and I'd miss the 6am start)

Is the premier inn bike friendly?

I have just spoke to Premier Inn Wimbledon South, and asked if I could have my bike in the room with me. They said it would be ok as long as I didn't damage the room! Just a heads up for those who were looking for somewhere to stay.

I think my start time is going to be dictated by when the bus/bike truck from Brighton gets to Clapham - just too much travelling otherwise.

Has anyone sorted out how to get back up to London from Brighton as yet?

I've managed to get a mate to pick me up from brighton. The other options just seem too painful.

A few years ago I drove down the night before with a friend and left my car down there, driving back up in his car.
