Which to choose?
Discussion
I have narrowed my choice down to the following on a work C2W scheme, but not sure which to go for:
1. Scott Scale 60
2. Cannondale Trail SL2 or SL3
3. Specialised Rockhopper SL Expert or SL Comp
4. Kona Cinder Cone
Any help would be much appreciated (please do not suggest other bikes as we are limited to 1 supplier.)
I will be using the bike on forest tracks etc - not major downhill! (+the commute!)
TIA

to be honest i would go for the scale, i dont like the ride quality of aluminium konas so would discount that.2. Cannondale Trail SL2 or SL3

the specialized is ok, but a bit of a ford focus of a bicycle, its perfectly good and does the job adequately enough but i think its just a bit bland. they never seem to give you much feedback from the trail, rockhoppers feel very planted, if you think that might appeal have a go on one but i like a twitchy bike...
the cannondale hardtails are excellent bikes but i dont know anything about the rst fork which puts me off a bit, do some research and see what the reviews are like. the frame will be nice and responsive though as cannondale understand hardtails better than most others.
i just think the scale is a bit more racey in terms of set-up and i think that might suit you and your intended use. its the most purists xc bike of the four, fast, responsive and agile. rocket rons will be good on the commute too!
actually, in my opinion, you have them in the right order to begin with.
