I am sick of looking for a decent Flite thats not ridiculously overpriced or battered, so on a few google jaunts I spotted these. they are not a well known brand over here in the colonies, but I quite like the look of them and I've got a couple lined up on Fleabay but I thought I would put it to the PH collective before I commit to buy one. Tell me about them, are they decent? the price seems very good, and they look quite well made.

I'm liking the brown one, but may go with the grey as it will fit into my colour scheme a bit better I reckon.

They're insanely good VFM. They're only £20 for the cro-mo one and £35 for the Ti. They're both light.

I find mine reasonably comfy, but they're very hard, oh and mine's fitted on my DH bike, so aside from cruising around the town in the Alps it's not like I spend much time sitting on it.

P.S. I chose one because they've very narrow - not sure if that's a factor for you.

I find them a very comfortable ride on a racer/commuter.... ultimately you don't know if you like the feel of a saddle until you ride it, same goes for a £20 or a £100 saddle. Advantage of these is if you don't like it they are so cheap you can sell it on at little loss though many people do like them check out the links below. They were the reason I bought and glad i did.

thanks chaps, they seem exceedingly good value for money. I was going for a mix of retro and new stuff on my new build and wanted either a flite or rolls as they were my favourite seat BITD. I like the narrower perch so these seem to fit the bill, and at that price I might get both.

Not sure it is available in the colonies but I have the black/orange one from Wiggle (£17.50).

Seem pretty tough and comfortable enough.

Please dont get me wrong, I love my fizik gobi XM, it is by far the most comfortable saddle I have ever clamped cheeks on.
BUT - they are prone to wear, mine is 4 months old and it is showing signs of the cover material fraying around the edges. It is my 3rd saddle. Fizik have been very good and replaced free of charge. I am not the only one in my group of riding buddies.

just ordered a brown leather one from winstanleys

apparently the sticking pattern on them wears through your trousers pretty quickly (two of my colleagues have them), but hey ho... they look cool!

Post up if you have any problems.

Winstanleys got slaughtered a few years ago on most of the UK MTB forums for just appaling customer service, selling stuff they don't have in stock and generally being useless.

People say they've got their act together now, but I've been put of using them because of the above, which is a shame as they seem to constantly be the cheapest bits supplier on google shopping.

I love mine! I've had it on the bike for 4 or 5 months now and not once have I ever thought about it whilst riding, which is probably the biggest compliment you can give a saddle. On my other bike I have a Specialized BG saddle which gives me pain when I'm on it for more than about 10 miles so I'll be changing that for another Spoon in the near future.
Not all saddles are comfy for everyone though so I imagine some people will hate it. Different shaped bums and all that.
I also think it's a really nice looking saddle, nice and neat and quite understated too.

Another vote for the Spoon from me.

I've got one on my retro Claud Butler, which now has panniers and mudguards and gets used as transport on holidays etc. Last time I rode it was from Carnac to the end of the Quiberon peninsula in casual shorts and flip flops (shock horror!) and it was great even like that...I keep meaning to try it on a mountain bike and see what it's like off road.

Looks cool with the matching Charge bar tape and chipper!

Oh, and the missus has got a Ladle (girlie's equivalent) on her MTB which she thinks is great too.

I have a spoon too on my Marin. Was a bit painful first few rides but now it has softened a bit, and I have hardened a bit it is very comfortable. I went for the white to match my grips, for £20 its a bargain. Heard that its made to the same design as one of the old Selle Italias so a good starting point.
