Hi folks,

I've decided to place my bike for sale as I fancy the 2010 version of the next model up. I'm not trying to plug it but I'm just wondering how you gauge the selling price?
It's in the PH classifieds (2009 felt compulsion 2), does £1150 sound like a fair price for a bike I paid £1450 for only a few months ago that originally (last year) retailed for £1900? Just wanted to make sure it's fairly priced for both buyer and seller really.

On the plus side, I can't wait to get a 2010 Felt Compulsion 1 biggrin

really sorry to say it but i think you are being a bit optimistic. if someone really wants that particular bike you mihgt get lucky, otherwise there are stil lsome 2009 bikes kicking around with big discuonts (approx 30%) so a £1500 2009 bike can now be found for £1200 if the prospective buyer isnt too fussy about specific brands, components etc.

that all said, i'm sure its been well maintained etc so give it a whirl at £1150, try bikeradar classifieds, singletrack world and eba and good luck!

fair play, I've never sold nor really looked at second hand MTBs so I took a guess. There's still a few available for 1400 quid from evans and the like, I'll give it a week at it's current price and see what happens.

Cheers smile

A lot of the 2010 models have gone already. I'm struggling to get anything, but I am a big fella. Don't be left without a bike chap!

Yeah I was worried about not being able to get one. There's one I know of in a shop reasonably locally, and I've got another bike in mind should I not be able to get the Felt, so I'm not *too* concerned.

I've dropped the price to 1100 quid, 350 quid off seems fair for a 2 month old bike?
