So been riding my road bike for going on 10 months now, clocked up a couple of thousand miles and that has all been wearing normal t-shirts and swimming shorts (lycra lined).

Last night going round Richmond Park I felt the standard ache in my behind and said it was enough, pulled in to a poorly stocked cycle shop in Kingston, and bought some Altura lycra shorts.

Not the bib kind as I'm a bit skint and the cheapest bib ones they have were getting torwards £100. So I got these bad boys, and I must say, apart from making my look like I've got the most stock legs in the world, they are so much better. The insert makes it a joy smile

Next stop is top I guess, and then I'll be a low drag comfortable cyclist smile

It really makes a difference, so all those who think (rightly) it looks a bit camp, get over it, as its much more comfortable!

I'm currently playing with ordering some Mavic and/or Skins Bib shorts and L/s jersey and some Mavic shoes/gloves... I have a basket full of goodies.

Just need to get round to ordering a bike now wink
