Llandegla tomorrow.

Worth a revisit now, as Chase Trails have added what they call 'Phase 2' to Follow the Dog. P2 is effectively in between FTD and Stile Cop - on the bigger hills - and is a much faster, more challenging and enjoyable bit of XC course.
Still not Llandegla, but very much improved. Combined with FTD, P2 gives you about 14 miles of trail - plus they added a nice new finishing section to FTD.

I'm very jealous - 2 kids in 2 years means my MTB'ing has been seriously curtailed recently. Have spent many a good few hours at Llandegla, great fun for a quick blast, although we used to make it last a bit longer by repeating the section by the large bridge, over and over and over again.
It does remind me of my scariest MTB moment - going over the handlebars on the very wide North Shore section over the marshland. The crash was quite minor however, the repercussions could have been disasterous. As I was flying through the air I realised I was going to land on my hands and had visions of broken wrists or arms as it was quite a long drop. This was 5 days before I was getting married and had visions of me being covered in Plaster for the big day - Mrs JQ would have killed me. It was only when I landed and my arms disappeared into the marsh up to my shoulders that I remembered it was marshland and provided a lovely soft landing. Happy days.
Have a fantastic day tomorrow.

The new Monkey Trail and new sections of FTD are excellent - well worth a visit. Just watch out for families on £200 Halfords specials if you go on sunny weekends Still not Llandegla, but very much improved. First time I did the new sections was the day after a weekend at CYB and think it's every bit as enjoyable.
It was a great day, brilliant weather and really fast terrain.
Here's a pic of me doing the North Shore drop that my buddy sent to me after he'd played around with it somewhat. I really like this.

And an amzing 12 second video of me on the skills section at the start of the ride.
