Peter Heal is about to set a new record for riding around the coast of Australia unsupported. He's due to finish in the next couple of days. It looks like he'll do it in 49 days, so he's been averaging 200 miles a day. Mental.

200 miles a day average is pretty epic if you ask me, fair play indeed

Googling him, he's got form. He's already done Australia East - West (4000km) in 11 days and 17 hours, averaging 330km a day.

With that sort of pace, you'd expect him to take a crack at the round the world record next, albeit it'd take a more rugged bike than he uses at the mo. I can't see that a Velokraft VK2 (a 21lb carbon low-racer) would cope.
