Calling all PH 2010 L2Bers

Morning all.

I'd like to run a story on the home page to celebrate our success in the L2B, so if anyone has any pictures from the day can you mail them to me please (Swerni, can you send me the van pics too).

Any 'one-liners' of your experience would be useful too

I passed a couple of yoofs on bmx-ers, didn't think they would have a lot of fun as the ride wore on!

I caught up with one of them on the downhill before ditchling and saw him cross the finish line with ET in the front basket and saw him near the start as well.

Scooby-Doo. After my puncture I caught up with hima again at Ditchling. He was walking and his sense of humour appeared to have deserted him.

Yep, saw quite a few throughout the day.

The commentators at the end pulled one to one side and asked him why he chose to ride a single speed - "because gears are too complicated".

The two hours I had to spend tweaking mine seemed well worth it when things got hilly.

That was great, my legs wouldn't turn any faster and I was in top. My true (on a level piece of road) flat-out.

And there you were chatting to a bloke on a MTB with a gammy knee That part of the ride was a real pleasure

Oh, and I have NOT Googled all about 29'ers, nor have I measured my frame and realised that 700C looks like it will go in with 5mm to spare even when running knobblies.

Both very valid points... But to all intentions it sure 'looks' like a MTB and it did get big air over every single speed bump I could find

Sattan's thread about the saddo with the banners about his missus reminded me about the orange posters the Crown at Ditchling put out. The best was about 10 miles out which said "Is your bum sore yet?" !

ha, they were ace - wonder how many gel seat covers they sold?

Did anyone else notice those gel seats got more expensive closer we got to the end?
